Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Your 7 days Kenya safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. Drive north through the Mount Kenya region into the semi-arid landscapes of Samburu. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve, home to rare wildlife species known as the “Samburu Special Five.” Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Samburu – Full Day Safari
Spend the entire day exploring Samburu National Reserve on morning and afternoon game drives. This region offers unique wildlife sightings including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk.
Enjoy the dramatic landscapes along the Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts a variety of wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of Kenya’s leading wildlife conservancies. Arrive in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
Ol Pejeta is famous for rhino conservation and offers a chance to see both black and white rhinos, as well as chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha via the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a relaxed afternoon at your lodge.
Optional activities include a nature walk or exploring the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight at your Naivasha accommodation.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara
After breakfast, enjoy a morning boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you will spot hippos and birdlife. Proceed to Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes and zebras.
Later, depart for Maasai Mara, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 6: Full Day Maasai Mara Safari
Spend a full day exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations. Enjoy game drives across the vast savannah in search of the Big Five and other wildlife.
Visit the Mara River (seasonal Great Migration crossing point) and enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Start your day with an early morning game drive, offering the best chance to see predators in action. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi.
Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenya safari experience.
